Mother's Day Fundraiser

The youth group will be selling hand made chocolate flowers made with Hersheys Kisses for Mother's Day.

Orders will be taken Sunday May 3rd after service.

The price of the flowers has not yet been decided.

Food Drive Update

The second Sunday of our Food Drive went extremely well! We received so many cans that it took numerous trips to get it all upstairs.

I thank you and God for the generous support.

Food Drive Update!

Today,the first day of the Food Drive, we collected $32 and got a bunch of can donations..
Lets keep this up..
Together with God we can help the multitudes.
Just remember what he did with the five loaves and two fish.

Our next official collection will be Next Sunday, April 12th.
All cash or food donations will be accepted.
Donations will be taken by Kenneth McDonald during the week if you would like to donate then.

Youth Car Wash!

Yesterday, we had one of our annual car washes. We started around 10am and went til 1:30pm. We had probably 5-10 youth show up and we had 15-25 cars show up to be washed. In the end, we raised $200 for the general youth fund. Nice Work!

Changes are coming soon!

We are an ever-changing group and because of this we constantly have to change our approach. Coming soon we will change it up yet again. We are getting new material for the lessons, games, and more. Keep checking back here for more info as we update.

Good Friday Trip!

Every year for the past couple of years, the youth group has visited another church for their Good Friday service. This is quickly becoming one of the traditions of the youth group over the years and lets the youth see a different style of worship and fellowship with other believers. This year on Good Friday, we have decided to go visit WAVE Church for their 7pm service.

We will meet at Wesley Memorial UMC at 6pm and depart no later than 6:30pm. All those wanting to attend please make sure you sign up with Diane or Kenny, so we can coordinate transportation. The deadline for sign up is Friday, April 3rd. Please sign up before then.

Youth Group Food Drive!

God calls on all of his followers to hear the cries of the needy. One of those cries is one of hunger. Hunger is not a complicated problem and something can be done about it. The Food Bank helps so many who would otherwise go hungry. However, with the ever increasing demand and lower than expected donations created by this recession, it is really hard for them to help everyone that needs it.

That is why Youth Group of Wesley Memorial UMC in Norfolk, Va wants to do something about it! We will be having a Food Drive to help the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. April 5th- May 3rd, we will be collecting food and money at our church and then donating it to the Food Bank. Together we can help those in need. It only takes a very small contribution to help. Even if you cannot donate, please pray for this endeavor.
