Good Friday Trip!

Every year for the past couple of years, the youth group has visited another church for their Good Friday service. This is quickly becoming one of the traditions of the youth group over the years and lets the youth see a different style of worship and fellowship with other believers. This year on Good Friday, we have decided to go visit WAVE Church for their 7pm service.

We will meet at Wesley Memorial UMC at 6pm and depart no later than 6:30pm. All those wanting to attend please make sure you sign up with Diane or Kenny, so we can coordinate transportation. The deadline for sign up is Friday, April 3rd. Please sign up before then.

Youth Group Food Drive!

God calls on all of his followers to hear the cries of the needy. One of those cries is one of hunger. Hunger is not a complicated problem and something can be done about it. The Food Bank helps so many who would otherwise go hungry. However, with the ever increasing demand and lower than expected donations created by this recession, it is really hard for them to help everyone that needs it.

That is why Youth Group of Wesley Memorial UMC in Norfolk, Va wants to do something about it! We will be having a Food Drive to help the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. April 5th- May 3rd, we will be collecting food and money at our church and then donating it to the Food Bank. Together we can help those in need. It only takes a very small contribution to help. Even if you cannot donate, please pray for this endeavor.
